BRUNSWICK HOUSE

This involved the interior renovation of a grade I listed house. Whilst it had been well maintained by the church it felt institutional and due to its size (9,000 square feet) lacking in warmth. The main drawing room was the size of a ballroom with the most incredible ornate plasterwork. The 1950’s fireplaces were replaced with original marble fireplaces. We added reclaimed sinks and bath used in the enormous bathrooms. The original Georgian lift was overhauled and a cinema installed – complete with red velvet cinema seats from a recently closed Ritzy cinema. The kitchen had always been situated in a main living room and so a serried of large cupboards and a freestanding island were designed to have a small impact on the room.   The house was featured in the Telegraph
